After you deploy a hero or unit card to the board it will be placed in the garrison located in the hex where it was dropped. Garrisons are special types of armies that are located at each stronghold or outpost location that you control. To create an army you must left click on the army icon for your faction representing the garrison and any other armies that are located in the hex. The number on the army icon will indicate how many armies (including the garrison) are located in the hex.	"View Army" Interface
An “Army Viewer” interface will appear and at the top of the interface will be a button that reads “Create Army.” Note that it costs action points (usually 3) to create an army. Armies can only be created at outpost and strongholds so the “Create Army” button will not appear on the interface if you are inspecting an army in a hex without one. Also the stronghold or outpost can not be besieged.
Left click on the “Create Army” button and a small dialogue box will appear. You must type in a name for the army and left click on the “Create” button.	“Create Army” Dialogue Box
