Trouble creating a let's play

I bought the game about a week ago and have started to get the hang of it so I decided to do a video let's play but when I try to record using Fraps it doesn't record for some reason. I have tried all the display options can anyone shed some light on this. My channel on You Tube is for newly released or beta indie games so I can raise peoples awareness and hopefully increase the customer base.

I would really like to do a video let's play and get this fantastic game some more interest.
