A few questions

A few questions

Postby Bullman » Thu Dec 29, 2011 12:52 am

Hi

1) Is there a maximum legion level?

2) When defending against artifact/relic steal or praetor bribe rituals, does it matter if the artifact/relic/praetor is attached to a PoP/legion or if it is just sitting in a vault? Does the level of a PoP/legion to which the artifact/relic/praetor are attached to affect the chances of steal/bribe success?

Thanks

Not sure about legion level, they can easily get to level 8. As far as artifacts, etc. things in your vault can't be stolen unless your opponent casts Dark Augury on you and manages to see whats in your vault (the effects will last a couple of turns). So sticking things in your vault offers a modicum of protection- of course you can't get much use out of them there. Not sure about the 'level of the guy holding the thing being pilfered' but I believe the answer on that one is 'no', although as some praetors have a bonus to loyalty rating its an interesting question.

1) There is no practical maximum level. It is probably limited by the size and type of the variable, so at least 127 and most likely much higher.

2) Attaching an item to a legion/PoP has no effect on the item. However, if the item grants bonus levels or loyalty, the legion will benefit from the bonus (so it can be useful to pilfer the items before bribing the legion).

2b) As Chaosguy mentioned, opponents can't normally see the contents of your vault and relic chamber, so there is an additional step (and a bit of warning to you) before they can pilfer them. I would also assume you can hide items on your legions when the legions themselves are cloaked (I haven't verified that though). I normally keep relics in my ritual chamber unless I either need the ritual slot or don't care about the item. The main exception are +prestige items which only give prestige when attached to a PoP.

Thanks for the replies. I just realised that you need a higher Prophecy level to view a ritual chamber than a vault hence why placing things in a ritual chamber is probably the best place to put things you aren't using.

Ok this was an answer to is there a maximum legion level? question.

I believe legion level is capped at 10.
Game i'm in i had adamantium guard and i was using the metrix lash with them to level them.
I leveled them to level 10 and i won at least 2-3 more battles with them and was told they had leveled.
Their level (as shown in stats in game) never went beyond 10 even though they really should have been like level 12 or level 13.
When i leveled them after level 10 I would still get level-up bonuses each time I did and kept improving their stats.

But their stated level was not possible to raise past 10.
